Tutorial

This will walk you through downloading and installing Verbotics Weld, as well as importing an example workcell.

Download and Install

The first step is to download a free trial of Verbotics Weld. The trial version is fully featured except for the ability to generate robot code. Once you have downloaded the installer, follow the installation prompts to install the software on your computer.

In addition to the software, you will also need a workcell model. You can download a number of example workcells from our website. For this example we will use the “Yaskawa with positioner” cell. Download this example workcell .vbmodel file to your computer.

Import Work Cell

Importing Work Cells: Video demonstration

Launch Verbotics Weld from your start menu. Before creating a new project, you need to import the downloaded workcell into the software. To do this:

  1. Open the Edit > Preferences preferences dialog.

  2. Click on the “Work Cells” section on the left.

  3. Click the “Add File” button in the workcells section and navigate to the downloaded workcell .vbmodel file.

Once this is done, the workcells list should show the “Example Yaskawa with positioner” cell as an option. You can now close the preferences dialog.
