Create Robot Tool

The Create Robot tool generates the cell editor kinematics of a robot based on a series of input values entered into the tool.

The tool requires the following values to be known about the robot in order to be used:

  • Kinematic Structure: Distances between joints in mm.

  • Joint Range: Minimum and maximum values in degrees.

  • Joint Velocity: Max velocity of each joint in degrees/second.

Create Robot Tool Dialog

The dialog is split into 2 sections. On the left is a diagram that mirrors the standard diagrams given by most manufacturers for a robot“s dimensions. This diagram references the values needed to be determined for the tool.

On the right is a series of input values that should be adjusted to match the robot being generated. In addition to the kinematic and joint values, a name and a prefix can be assigned.
