Assembly & Part Details

The Detail area shows details for an assembly and part selected in the Workspace tab.

Assembly detail

  • Name: The name of the assembly. Becomes ‘multiple’ when more than one assembly is selected.

  • Visible: The current visibility status of the assembly. Enabled is visible in the viewer, disabled is not visible in the viewer.

  • Weldable: The current weldable status of the assembly. Enabled will allow the weld identification process to detect welds between the selected part and other parts that are also weldable. Typically used to denote jigging and fixturing.

  • Welded: The current assembly and associated child parts are already welded. When enabled the weld identification system will not detect welds between the parts that make up that assembly based on the imported CAD hierarchy. It will still detect welds between that assembly amnd other weldable parts. Typically used to denote welded sub-assemblies.

  • Position: The position of the selected assembly to the origin as defined in the imported CAD model.

  • Orientation: The orientation of the selected assembly to the origin as defined in the imported CAD model. Not shown for subcomponents.

  • Size: Axis aligned bounding box of the selected assemblies.
